Pediatric Needle Anxiety Clinic

April 21 @ 10:00 am - April 23 @ 12:00 pm

Our Pediatric Needle Anxiety Clinic is a brief, structured program designed to help children and adolescents who experience significant anxiety, fear, or avoidance related to needles, blood draws, or injections. This three-day clinic draws from evidence-based needle phobia and exposure protocols and focuses on building coping skills, reducing avoidance, and increasing confidence around medical procedures. The clinic is appropriate for youth who struggle with vaccinations, lab work, or other needle-related medical care.

The program runs over three consecutive days (2 hours per day) and includes a one-hour parent guidance session. Children and teens are grouped by developmental level to ensure age-appropriate language, pacing, and skill practice. The final day includes a live, in-office blood draw demonstration led by a licensed phlebotomist, allowing participants to practice skills in a realistic and supportive setting.

This program is designed to reduce distress around medical procedures while supporting long-term engagement with healthcare.
