8thAnnual Holiday House Tour: Saturday, December 1, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
On Saturday, December 1, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, seven of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be open to the public for the Concord Museum’s Guild of Volunteers 8thannual Holiday House Tour. All of the properties are professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers.
Leah Butler and Lisanne Wheeler, Co-Chairs of the Holiday House Tour, described, “There really is so much variety in the style of homes and decorating themes. On one property might see a green tractor, decorated in the holiday spirit in front of an elegant shingle-style home. The broad expansive front porch will be adorned with antique snowshoes, a sled, lanterns and garland to set the tone for the natural woodland theme waiting inside. On another property, house tour visitors can admire a beautifully decorated second story foyer that glitters with gold. A majestic garland of greens, ribbon and ornament ascend the curving bannister with a delightful woodland scene on the staircase.”
The Guild of Volunteers is organizing this event as a benefit for the education initiatives of the Museum. Holiday House Tour ticket sales benefit ongoing educational programming at the Concord Museum, which welcomes 12,000 school children annually for curriculum-based educational programs for students of all levels and learning styles
