The inspirational and infectious Grammy-Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers are coming to Concord, Massachusetts for two shows on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00 am and at 2:00 pm.  Plan to bring your kids to this family concert at the Performing Arts Center/51 Walden andbring your kids closer to nature through an afternoon of songs performed by this creative duo. The Okee Dokee Brothers draw creativity from their incredible extensive outdoor experiences. With humor and heartfelt connections to nature, their songs teach and entertain audiences of all ages.

As childhood friends growing up in Colorado, Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing were always exploring the outdoors. Whether it was rafting down their neighborhood creek or discovering hiking trails through the Rocky Mountains, Joe and Justin were born adventurers. As the Grammy Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, they have put this passion for the outdoors at the heart of their down-home and lively Americana Folk music. They have created their own unique sound with a touch of bluegrass, old-time, and folk.

The concerts offer an opportunity to hear songs from their latest full-length studio album, Winterland, which provides an exuberant yet introspective collection of 16 original songs exploring the wonders and beauty of winter. The Brothers offer their perspective on winter and give many reasons for excitement for this time of year. Whether it’s snow, ice fishing, or the Abominable Yeti they are singing about, their tunes always amuse and enlighten the audience.

The Okee Dokee Brother performances are part of the 2018-2019 CCM Concert Series. The diverse and entertaining line-up of the Concord Conservatory of Music Concert Series brings jazz, bluegrass, and classical music to Concord.
