Have you ever looked at a landscape and thought, “That would make a beautiful painting?” Then this class is for you!

We’ll begin by exploring photos of scenic landscapes and taking a closer look at what the colors reveal. Notice how colors shift with light, distance, and even the angle of view. Understanding these subtle changes will help bring depth and atmosphere to your work.

Once you’ve chosen a landscape for inspiration, we’ll dive into painting! You’ll create two paintings:

An abstract study to experiment, loosen up, and explore how colors blend and move.

A final landscape painting inspired by your chosen image—interpreted in your own unique style.

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore landscape painting in a relaxed, creative way—whether you’re new to painting or looking to grow your skills. You’ll get all the supplies you need (and snacks, too!), so just bring yourself and a willingness to try something new.

Snacks will be provided. Participants may BYOB.
