On February 3, WBYC is hosting our annual lecture event, and I’ll be in conversation with Mary Catherine Starr (the genius behind @momlife_comics). It’s going to be a night to laugh, maybe cry a little, and talk honestly about all the mishaps of being a mom in the modern world.
Mary Catherine is so relatable. She puts into words (and comics) the mental load, the chaos, the exhaustion, the guilt, the humor—everything we’re all carrying but don’t always say out loud. We’ll be talking about motherhood, life right now, and all the things we hold as parents.
Think of it as a moms’ night out (or date night, or come-solo-and-exhale night). It’s free, and there will be wine and chocolate, books giveaways, and pop up shops from local women owned businesses!
Any proceeds from the evening go toward WBYC’s The Green House Retreat, helping us continue our mission of supporting grieving families through connection, care, and honest conversation.
