The Concord Chamber of Commerce traditionally announces the Business Person(s) of the Year at its Annual October Meeting and Dinner. Usually held at a venue in Town, this year, with respect of current conditions for large group gathering, the Event will be conducted virtually this morning.
The eleven members of the Chamber Board which includes broad representation from the healthcare, retail, legal, real estate, Museum, and funeral sectors have unanimously selected and proudly announce that the 2020 Honoree is the Business Community of Concord. In doing so, the Board wishes to fully acknowledge and publicly recognize the dedication, service, and commitment demonstrated admirably by them throughout the year, but especially during the far-reaching effects of the pandemic. Commenting on the designation, the Chamber Executive Director Jane Obbagy and Board President Kevin Thomas Plodzik, reaffirmed that “the Board has chosen well in recognizing that all the local businesses continue to competently serve the needs of our citizens and others with high quality products and services, carried out in a welcoming and accommodating manner.
Through the award the Chamber highlights each of the businesses for doing so as they always have done, but most especially in such challenging times. The Chamber proudly supports, along with so many others, Concord Together, strongly encouraging purchasing and seeking services locally as these businesses deserve, now more so than ever. We thank them for being the brand of community members that they are, and we heartily congratulate them deservedly and accordingly.”
The plaque (pictured) will be permanently displayed on an interim basis in the Concord Free Library and moved to the Town House when renovations are completed.
