2019 Concord Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

Business Team of the Year

The Concord Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Helen and Dave Halloran have been selected as the 2019 Business Team of the Year. Helen and Dave own and operate the Concord Flower Shop located at 135 Commonwealth Ave and proudly display an original receipt from 1937 for a dozen roses and a dozen gladiolas costing $2.25.

Helen has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce member since taking ownership of the Concord Flower Shop more than 35 years ago. She is a generous member of the Concord Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris award. Helen was a founding member of the Concord Indies, a group focused on raising awareness of the importance of local independent businesses. In addition, she helped establish the annual fall Discover West Concord Day bringing attention to the many small businesses and a fun day for the community. Dave has been a Mason since he was 16 and continues to be active in the organization. He works at The Concord Funeral Home and is known for being extremely comforting to those in need at work and in the community of Concord where he and Helen grew up.

We will honor this incredible business team at our Annual Dinner scheduled for October 22, 2019 at Concord’s Colonial Inn. We look forward to seeing you and sharing more details about the Concord Flower Shop’s opening on Main Street in the late 1890’s, the owners over the years, and how Helen and Dave have contributed to the business community in Concord.
