Saad Dinno , RPh , FIACP, FACA, a 1993 graduate of MCPHS University , is the co – owner of three independent pharmacies under the Dinno Health brand with his brother Raied Dinno , who is also a pharmacist . The pharmacies are Acton Pharmacy, West Concord Pharmacy, and Keyes Drug in Newton.
Saad has received numerous awards, including the Margaret Bauman Ou tstanding Medical Professional award in 2006 for his work serving the needs of the autism community. Also in 2006 , Saad was named Massachusetts Innovative Pharma cist of the year by the Mass. Pharmacist Association . In 2014, he received the Dr. M. George Webber Compounding Pharmacist of the Year award fromProfessional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA).
Saad has also received a fellowship distinction from the International Academy of Compoundi ng Pharmacists as well as the American College of Apothecaries. Saad belongs to several professional organization s including the American Pharmacists Association, the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, the National Community Pharmacists Association, the Mass. Pharmacists Association and the Mass. Independent Pharmacist s Association , of which he is a past president. He is also a board member of MitoAction, the advocacy group for people with mitochondrial dis ease .
Saad also serves on many committees , such as the Emerson Hospital Care Transition Collaborative Committee, Eliot Community Human Rights Committee, Cardinal Distribution East Advisory Board, a n d several soccer – related boards. Saad served a two year t erm on the P CCA Advisory Board. He is also a preceptor for MCPHS University , Northeastern University and other pharmacy programs.
Saad has presented on many topics locally, n ationally and internationally. Many of his presentations were focused o n the are a of m itochondrial and m etabolic disorders as well as on Autism Spectrum Disorder, and how the art of pharmacy compounding c an play a vital role in the management of these conditions .
Saad is the host of a cable access TV show on health and wellness cal led, “A Healthier You.” He also lectures on many pharmacy topics both nationally and internationally , but is most comfortable assisting patients in the western suburbs of Boston.
