August at Verrill Farm Corn & Tomatoes – Local summer favorites featured all month!
Corn and tomatoes are crops synonymous with New England summer and Verrill Farm fields yield an abundance of both! In August, when the popular crops are at their peak, consumers can indulge their taste buds at the annual Corn and Tomato Festival and a Farm to Table Dinner. Other August activities include free corn picking and a farm tour – both led by farm owner Steve Verrill.
‘August is a great month to visit the farm because it’s peak season for so many of our crops – tomatoes being just one,’ says Verrill. ‘Consumers are amazed that we grow over xx varieties and love coming to sample them at the Festival to find their favorites!’
